Dave Hunter Stars with Hollywood Celebrities
HOLLYWOOD, CA -
Love in Winter Quarters, Spike Lee's riveting rendition of early Mormon history,
opens in theatres nationwide this weekend. The show features newcomer
Dave Hunter as the polygamous patriarch Josiah Eldridge. Starring as
Hunter's beautiful wives are
(in alphabetical order) Paula Abdul, Pamela Anderson, Cindy Crawford, Elli Mc Pherson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, and others.
Said Janet Jackson, "This may be a G-rated movie, but there was a
little "cat-fighting" behind the scenes. Let's face it, Dave is not your typical
self-centered Hollywood dweeb. He's comfortable in his manhood. He's himself.
That is like SO attractive. The girls had a difficult time keeping their hands
off him."
Said Spike Lee, "The pioneers were a disciplined, noble people.
They were also very human. Love in Winter Quarters tries to capture the love, the romance, and the passion of their lives."
Surrounded by a barrage of entertainment news media yesterday, Hunter said, "Although I had
a little acting experience in Huntington Beach, it's not what I am used to.
I am really best at repairing cars.
"That's so typical of Dave," said Pamela Anderson. "He is humble. That is
irresistable in a man." "I've always admired him," added Madonna.
"We used to bump into each other at the Purple Turtle, and chat for hours. People only see one side of Dave. He is really a very sensitive, multi-dimensional personality."
How did superstar Cindy Crawford feel about acting opposite a newcomer to the silver screen?
"Dave Hunter was perfect for the part; he's strong, handsome, and kind.
He's like something straight from the pages of a western pioneer romance. Dave and I had a lot
of fun together on the set."
Asked if it was difficult to spend five weeks surrounded by Janet Jackson, Madonna, Pamela Anderson and
other Hollywood celebrities, Hunter responded,
"I am willing to make any sacrifice necessary to tell this story. Whatever it takes."
Hollywood executives would not discuss Hunter's salary for the five-week assignment,
but according to Tommy Jones of MGM Movie Enterprises, he will be paid at least $100,000 a night,
and "he'd better pay his tithing." Is this the "big break" for Dave Hunter? Only time and box office receipts will tell.
